Associate Account Executive

Description of Position:

Provide exceptional service to our customers by performing the following tasks:

  • Support the Underwriters by assisting with carrier & broker inquiries, updating & maintaining account information in SEC systems, following up on requested tasks, inquiries and binding
  • Providing prompt and accurate answers to broker inquiries through utilization of SEC resources (software, phone, email, internet, etc.)
  • Become an expert on the Product(s) you handle and SEC’s processes
  • Efficiently processing work to ensure that deadlines and customer expectations of exceptional service is met
  • Record and maintain account records in SEC systems that are complete, accurate and up-to-date
  • Maintain strong relationships with our Brokers

  • Communication: effectively communicate with our customers, service team and management by listening, provide a clear and sucinct response, maintain an open mind and respond respectfully
  • Multitasking: ability to utilize our software while handling an additional task (example: review software to answer a customer request while speaking on the phone)
  • Strong interpersonal skills: problem-solve by identifing the best servicing option(s) available to our Broker customers

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 plus years servicing experience
  • Associates degree

Account Executive

Underwriter

Description of Position:

Grow and maintain a book of business that is profitable for both SEC and our carrier partners by performing the following tasks:

  • Solicit business via your Broker distribution list
  • Educate your Brokers on our business appetites and eligiblity requirements
  • Review new business submissions for market placement
  • Utilize reports to ensure that we are working with eligible Brokers
  • Maintain strong relationships with our eligible Brokers
  • Identify growth opportunities to generate new business with new and existing Brokers

Job Requirements/Skills:

  • Underwriting: Including but not limited to submission reviews for eligibility, application review for inconsistencies, completeness and/or for information requiring follow ups, subjectivity reviews (i.e. loss runs), rating, liasion between SEC the Broker and the Carrier
  • Sales: Work with our Brokers to promote SEC as the Wholesaler/MGA of choice
  • Communication: effectively communicate with our service team and management by listening, provide a clear and concision response, maintain an open mind and respond respectfully
  • Multitasking: ability to utilize our software while handling an additional task (example: review software to answer a customer request while speaking on the phone)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equiventent experience
  • 5 plus years experience in an Underwriting position
  • Carrier underwriting experience is a plus
  • CPCU and other related designations is a plus but not required
